Ok so it's not like I could have planned around this since I have PCOS I am hardly regular. But why now! I know the paper work said to bring products with you because surgery can make you start even if you just finish, but nothing about if you start and will be on it for surgery. Can I just say I am humiliated. Sure it's a natural thing women go through because some guy way back when sucked just like most of them do now, but really! I will have a catheter which is bad enough without this! So I assume they will just put one of those big diaper like pads under me until I can wear underwear again and can use a pad or something (I cant imagine bending to change a tampon). Did this happen to anyone else?

Well I have lost 10 lbs so far on the liquid diet.. wonder if it would be more if I werent "retaining" /sigh

Oh this is just gonna be lovely..

 Oh Telisha!   You're so funny!

Don't worry about this because I am SURE you're not the first gal that's been on her period for surgery!  They're not going to be whispering over your anesthetized body, "OMG, she's on the rag--how uncouth!"  For them, it's just another day at the office.

And it's not like you'll have to toddle around in some big, huge diaper during your walks.  It will be okay!!!  (definitely take pads not tampons--there will be no bending and stuff with belly surgery!)

Personally, the hospital is getting lots of money for your procedure (mine was about $26,000).  I say make 'em earn it!  CHANGE MY DIAPER!!!

Congrats on the 10 lbs of weight loss on the liquid diet!  I only lost 8, so stop wondering how much it would be without monthly water weight gain.  I will come over there and smack ya!

You're doing GREAT!!!!  You're just suffering from being on the liquid diet (brain freeze!) and pre-surgery-itis!!!

Telisha, your luck is just like mine. But I am sure like Denise said you wont be the first. Everything will be okay. It says in the book that even if its not time foer your period the stress from the surgery could make you start so bring pads. You will be okay! I am praying for you girl.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!!  All of the above comments are right...   I have PCOS too, and know excatly what you mean, and it was probably the stress / excitement of the surgery, I spotted some before surgery, then stopped, then started back after surgery...  All will be OK!!!!!

Good Luck, you'll be a loser soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

When sanitary napkins first came out you had to attach them to a belt. YOUR getting a BELTTTTTT. No I don't really know but that would be a great idea. I started the day after and slipped my panties on and just rolled them below my panni (SP). The wiping was the biggie but I had brought feminine wipes and that did the trick. I can remember several years ago having surgery while receiving the gift and a pad was placed there and worked wonders. Also for me when I am not active I usually slow to a spot. Anyway don't worry, your not the first and you certainly won't be the last.  Good luck and we will be seeing you on the losers bench.
